It's funny photos day

Got to love a family that can smile together.

Princess found mummy's old glasses and had some fun. Of course these have now been added to the dress up box. Don't worry they have next to no prescription in them.
It was funny but Princess actually was able to put the black rimmed glasses together with Harry Potter. We haven't let her watch the movies but she has seen the covers of the movies. It amazes me everyday just how much a 2/3 year old can know. It does make me vigilant to make sure I don't ever dumb things down for her.

One especially great thing is that Princess is starting to understand what emotions she is feeling. She told me the other day that she was 'very mad at me'. I know it doesn't sound nice but a younger Princess would have thrown a temper tantrum. Now she is able to understand what feeling she is feeling and voice that 'concern' to me. Oh just so you don't think I am too mean a mother the reason she was mad at me was because I said she could have another child's pens in church.

Why do it to myself

I am wondering why I am doing it to myself. I have decided to try and go without sugar, chocolate (which is sugar I know but still important enough to give it its own category) and coffee.
Why because my mind has been buzzing all over the shop for the past few days. I can't seem to concentrate on one thing at a time and so I have had to take desperate measures.
That is all

Happy Birthday

This blog is two fold. Firstly I have a friend whose birthday it is today and I haven't got to say hello to her in a while. I have decided against putting a a photo of you on the blog because I don't think you would want me to but it is good to tell you that I would have. So Happy Birthday friend and I hope this is a great year for you. Last one before we are really old:)

The second part of this entry is dedicated to mushrooms. I was just preparing dinner, a stew in the slow cooker and I was adding the mushrooms which were looking a little bit old and worse for wear. This in turn made me wonder how did people discover that we could eat some mushrooms and not others. Was it out of necessity. Was some poor sod lost in some mountainous region without food and decided that he would eat the mushroom even though he had been conditioned not to eat them because people previously had got sick or died from their consumption. Did he see that there were different types and tried one one day and waited to see if he felt sick and then tried another the next day. And then when he found the variety that he could eat did he try one on one day and then two the next and then three on day three.
Or did God let Adam know or Eve as I suppose she did the food preparation in the garden of Eden. But in the garden everything would have been edible. So did God let them know once they were exiled or did someone have to get sick or even died before it was discovered.
Life is interesting- everything has a story doesn't it.

I hate the fact that you (well me) is so caught up on money. We need money for so many things and well who says money doesn't bring happiness. You trying telling your nearly 3 year old that no she can not have that (whatever it was) because mummy doesn't have any money for that. You see I'm on a budget. Oh the word even in the written form brings so much pain through my chest.

I'm not saying that I need more money in order to get my daughter stuff. But what I am saying is that money can indeed provide happiness especially to a nearly 3 year old, even if it is only until she breaks the whatever or grows bored of it.

Just think about all the things that could bring you (me) happiness. A new car, air conditioning, blinds, a veggie garden, a flower bed, lamps, oh you know I could go on, so I should probably stop now before I start going on about the really vain things like new clothes, shoes, handbags, did I say shoes.

Anyway being on a budget (eek) means I am home much more often so I guess you can expect more blogs. You lucky peeps.

I thought this was a clever picture. I was just looking for some random picture of money on google. This is Keira Knightly

He's from Mars alright

This is not meant to be such a whinge but really this husband of mine really is from Mars. I just have trouble understanding him. I love him so much but his reasoning just doesn't make any sense to me. For example if I asked him to empty the dishwasher just one night a week he would argue about doing this.

Why because he would state that I would say that it would make me really happy but how long would that last for? Maybe a few weeks and then I would ask him to do just one more thing, and then another and another and before you know it he will be doing ALL the housework and going to work and looking after the girls.
What am I supposed to do with reasoning like that?

My Princess singing

I have finally gotten around to filming one of Princess' many songs that she sings, there are more to the repertoire but now she is sick I need to wait. Both girls are still sick but Sweetness is nearly better and Princess seems to just have a cold and cough now. Lord willing this will be the last of the colds for winter. Today was such a beautiful day and it didn't feel like winter at all. I love the warm weather so much. The girls like it too which encourages me to be outside more with them. I have now realise the importance of sun and how careful we need to be in not err on the side of too much caution. A friend has been told recently she has a lack of vitamin D which means her body is not getting enough sun. Vitamin D is important as it helps your body break down calcium and gives you strong bones. The damage is now done and her bones have become more brittle than they should be and sadly it is not repairable. It is funny because living in the Sunshine State (Queensland) it is drummed into you to always cover up and wear sunscreen but in order to get our dose of Vitamin D we need sun for only about 20 minutes in Summer and longer in winter. Its a fine line people Skin Cancer Vs Brittle Bones.

In any case we were loving the sun yesterday too.

I love a blue sky so Sweetness was my view along with a blue cloudless sky.

Princess was there too and she is learning to smile for the camera. It has only taken nearly 3 years.
