Someone has a new haircut

Isn't it funny that from a young age us ladies are always loving a good chop (no not pork). When I mentioned to Princess that we might get her haircut she was so excited. And so was I because I have had enough of getting the ruggies out. Even the hair-dresser was amazed at how many knots she had and I had put it in a plait just so it wouldn't be too bad for the hairdresser.
So without any further ado- here is my little princess and her new look.

She was very happy with it. You would never guess she had about 20cms taken off. That's about 7 inches for our American friends. I can't wait to wash it tonight as I am guessing all her lovely curls should come back now.

It's funny, but not ha ha funny

It's peculiar I guess.
I haven't written a post in some time because... well to be honest I haven't felt up to sharing. You see some very personal things have happened recently, and I guess because I am not the person directly involved it is not up to me to share these things.
I have felt somewhat unable to share and therefore I have lacked the desire to communicate at all! Which now considering is a bit sad because although I don't have the greatest following I know that some people do enjoy clicking onto the blog and seeing new picture (less for my eloquent words).

SO here is some of the things I haven't shared which I should have.

Sweetness achieved her first blood nose. She was climbing or jumping or falling, you know her usual antics.

Princess has had a rather uneventful last few weeks, which means she has been a true little Princess for her mummy.

Gorgeous Husband, well he's doing well...considering. The biggest loss for me in regards to this man has been the loss of his beard. Not happy me- what do you think?

And little 'old' me- well I turned the big 30 last Monday, and it didn't hurt a bit. I can see that I look older but on the inside I still about 16, except for the days when I'm 86.

Oh and I nearly forgot this little one. Our little Piddle pot has integrated well. He can't get enough of the girls and is so desperate to be around them he even gets on the trampoline with them.

Inspiration to ride a bike

As many of you lovely reader would know my f-i-l (father in law) has embarked on quite an exciting adventure cycling his way from the top of France Deauville on the English Channel (or La Manche to the French) to the Mediterranean Sea just south of the town of Montpellier. In hearing about his progress we have started talking about Princess riding her bike too.

Well the three girls were all arguing over the same trike on Friday and so I suggested bringing out the big girl bike that Princess received for Christmas. Princess had had some coaching around Christmas time (even from an expert)and she was just not ready to try. This time she hoped straight onto the bike and now ...she's my big girl riding her first big bike. Awwwww, she's growing up.

new interest in Cooking

Well I am not much of a cook (yes I can see you nodding in agreement)and I'm still not but I have something to make it even easier for me now. Yes 4 ingredients- how easy is that.
What is really good is that this book has already been consulted more than once. Most of my 'pretty' cookbooks are sitting there on the book shelf displays beautiful pictures of delicious food, that has only (note the sarcasms) taken 1 hour to prepare and another hour to cook. And the amount of ingredients necessary only spans half way down the A4 page.
This book is simple (like me) and easy to follow (unlike me). It's also good in regards to the time it takes to get ready (also unlike me).

So this is me now.

Oh except that kitchen looks quite neat and there are no children pulling on my leg in this photo, demanding attention.
