Instead of doing housework- Tuesdays

Open
shut them
open
shut them
but do not let them in.

Someone has an obsession with doors. I took so many photos of this little girl opening and shutting the sliding doors. She even tells Angus off and tells him "Outssside Gangus".

SOOOoooooo Cute- I love her so.

Sad faces

Something about sad faces on little girls.

Can you guess the real sad face and the little actress of the family.

Flashback Friday

A very short flashback this one. Actually the photos are new from this week but it is what is in the photos which are the flashback. The delicious looking lolly pops were from Disneyland, we had forgot we had them. When I found them Princess was in the kitchen, I was trying to be discreet and tell Gorgeous Husband about them but Princess has eagle eyes and spotted them.

Terrible parents that we are, we used them as bribery to have the girls on their best behaviour with our recent visitors.

As you can see them enjoyed their rewards.

Instead of doing housework- Tuesdays

In order to have a dance party you need the following

1. The ultimate dance shoes (red is optional, polka dots are mandatory)

2. A twirly whirly skirt. Long or short doesn't matter as long as it is light and fluffy like marshmallows.

3. The right accessories- a little bling is good

A lot of bling is best.

4. Finding the right dance partner can be difficult.

This one refuses to cooperate.

And this one keeps running away.

We have found a winner!
Lets have a dancey dance now people.

New songs for the month

I hope you enjoy these songs if you have your player on. If you don't get the music the song I am talking about is Joshua Radin's Brand New Day.

I like this song and I thought it was a timely reminder that even though things are sometimes not going so well or even how you expect them to happen, things will change with the brand new day. Your brand new day may not happen tomorrow, or even next week but we need to continue to keep in front of our minds that it will happen. A new day is coming and we need to look towards that day, not the past, even the present should not be our focus, it is the future that we need to be mindful of. Ask the questions- what am I doing and how can I be on the right path so that the future I desire will be within my reach. What do I want my 'brand new day' to look like?

It is so hard when things look so bleak (I am not referring to myself here, at least not now) and that you can't imagine things looking any worst, and maybe they can't be much worst for you but there is a 'brand new day' coming, and that if you continue to focus on that the sun will shine again.

Gorgeous Husband, is having a few problems but they have certainly been put into perspective by someone else that he knows. I would please ask you to add to your prayer list GH's former boss. He is still working for GH's former company but he has also been given his notice and he now has his own and GH's work to do. He's struggling, not just because he is really hating his job but because he can't find a new one. Which adds pressure because he has 3 teenage children (two in private school) and a sizable mortgage. But the worst part is that his wife does not cope with these pressures and has been admitted to an expensive psychiatric hospital for the week. Please pray for the stresses that these and many other families are under in these difficult economic times.

Prayer is such a powerful tool, even our young Princess understands it. She was telling me in the car the other day that she was getting a baby brother. I told her 'please don't say that to people, mummy doesn't want people to think she is pregnant when I'm not'. Her response is 'I didn't say you were having a baby, I said you were Nearly, having a baby'. I asked her why she thinks that. Her response is simple- "Because Daddy and me prayed for it".

Sometimes we are reminded of the power of prayer through our children, what brought to my mind was how children, even though they may not get the response they want, they still ask. Jesus himself still asked 'If this cup can be taken from me'. He knew what God's response would be, but He still asked. Sometimes God's answer to us is going to be 'no'. We may still have to continue with the hard path and trust that even though things hurt like crazy now, there will be a 'brand new day'.

Another verse to keep in mind is Ecclesiastes 7:13-14
"Consider what God has done; who can straighten what he has made crooked? When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider God has made one as well as the other. Therefore , a man cannot discover anything about his future".

We need to continue with faith and trust that God will deliver our 'brand new day'.

This reminds me of when we sing "The clouds will be rolled back like a scroll"

No title

Sorry there hasn't been a post in a while. Life is sort of up in the air at the moment, at least that is what it feels like. It's funny because I look at my blog like there is something going to appear on it all by itself, but of course there are no little gremlins here so I thought I had best sign in and let anyone who is interested that I am still alive and that we are all...still alive.
Sorry no pictures taken recently, maybe soon.
