Our Special Visitor

This post is dedicated to our very special visitor who arrived with us today.

Of course you can not see from this photo that the girls were doing something that only us adults got the pleasure of pre-water restrictions.
They certainly are not having so much fun running around in their togs in winter.
But...if they did have fun running under the sprinkler they most certainly would have had a warm bath afterwards:)
I feel it is safe to say that this delightfully happy young lady should sleep well tonight. I would like to say that she is already asleep but I am certain that is them I can hear WHISPERING.

Just to top it off.

Just to top off our happy happy Friday we went to Dreamworld on Saturday. This was actually my reason for taking the test so I could know whether it was safe to go on the fast rides. Well I didn't mind too much about missing out because the rest of the day was a fun one.
We got to ride the Wiggles rides and Dora's ride and plenty of others too. We saw the Tigers ( Sweetness spent the rest of the day roaring) and we saw the Crocodiles (Princess spent the rest of the day asking if crocodiles eat...?).

These are just some other photos I wanted to share. I love my babies and am so happy to be adding to our family.
We will have to let Sweetness know that these wrestling moves are only to be used on Princess- at least for the first 18 months.

Fridays are the best

Well as you can see from the little counter on the right our big news is that I am pregnant. As you can also see it is very early on but at this stage we decided that we might as well as share our joy with all. After-all Princess is no sandwich short of a picnic and we knew it was likely that she would hear all the talk about a new baby and we have also learnt that she is unable at the age of three to keep a secret so we decided to let the cat out of the bag at this early stage.

Our other really exciting news is that GH has got himself a new job. This has been quite a difficult and yet very rewarding time for us in our marriage and in our parenting. we really don't know what we will do without him.

Anyway I would love to write more but the words "Einstein" and "Noah" are being demand of me.

Some pics of our fun day to come.

Instead of doing housework- Tuesdays

I'm going through photos today. These are from the last few weeks.
While I was enjoying myself in Adelaide GH was taking the girls to a birthday party- it was an under the sea theme. Princess was a mermaid (aren't I clever sewing her bikini top to her tail). You can't see from the photos but Sweetness was the trouble maker child who wears a sharks fin to the beach to scare people, the fin was very bad but I hope to have some lessons in sewing one day soon.

These photos are from the other night. I always said that if i had two girls or boys that I wouldn't dress them the same. Well it turns out I find it a lot cuter than I once did. Of course the cheeky monkeys would have a photo together but I wanted to share the pics of their new pjs.

I know that just putting random photos on the blog is a little boring but one of the reasons I warmed to blogging was the opportunity to keep records of what is going on in our lives. It is good that if i ever want to find photos to print out all I need to do is come to the blog because I try to put up my favourite here. In saying that, here is Princess blowing bubbles. Awwww isn't she lovely. Don't answer that- of course she is!

Flying visit

Well I had the best weekend that i have had in a while and while I feel a little guilty in saying that because I was separate from my Gorgeous Husband and lovely little ladies, I also don't.

I went with two of my bffs to Adelaide to visit another bff. We then went for Friday and Saturday night to Victor Harbour- here to be exact.

Saturday we had a walk to granite Island in search of these little fellas.

First we saw these guys which are everywhere.

Then theses but still no fairy penguins.

These little wagtails teased us. You know how they look at you swishing their tails around like they know something you don't. I still think they knew where the penguins were and just wouldn't tell us.

Just as we started to walk back to the mainland we saw these guys sitting on the rocks at the edge of the island- we started to get excited. You see they had penguin like colouring and in order to get a good look at them we needed to zoom in with a camera and then zoom in on the picture again, as you can imagine it was a little disappointing for those of us who really wanted them to be penguins to discover the truth about these guys. Just for any bird enthusiasts they are Little Pied Cormorant also known as little shags.

So this is as close as we came to our little friends

The rest of the day as you can only imagine was spent window shopping at what few shops were there.
The best was Saturday night when instead of going out, we decided to stay in and chat and envelop ourselves in female companionship. Truly God made the female for communication because it really does come so naturally, I really don't remember a lag in conversation once.

On Sunday when coming home it was funny how you start to change back into wife and mummy mode and then you miss your family so dearly and appreciate them all the more. That night I was especially blessed when Sweetness decided that she did not want Daddy to put her to bed which he has always done and she feel asleep in my arms which hadn't happened since she was around 6 months old.

It is funny how time away from those you love can make you love them even more.

Just a last note on the photos- none of these are mine- I used google images for all of them as I didn't have my camera with me.
