All over so soon

Well we are back from our holiday and it was so very lovely to be able to spend time with the family. We pretty much spent all our days between the pool and the beach. Princess was not keen for the sea, mostly the waves, it was day four before I could really get her anywhere near the water unless she was in one of our arms. When she finally realised that the waves are not so bad and even a little fun I felt that I didn't want to take her away in case she forgot all about how fun it was and hence I have a burnt back. These things we do for our children.
Sweetness on the other hand absolutely loved the water sea or pool, any time we would decide on her behalf that she had had enough she would soon show us she hadn't by walking straight back into the ocean or back into the pool.
With only ourselves to blame going to the beach or pool became such productions as we had buckets and spades, floating rings, vests, kick boards, towels, sunscreen, sun glasses, and the list goes on. Life is just not simple anymore. While there we had a visit from the newly weds and they were able to walk down to the pool with us with a towel- imagine that- just a towel, ah those were the days.
Christmas was a great time for us and not to hectic which was what we prayed for. We spent the morning and lunch with my family at the beach and then came home. We then had Gorgeous Husband's family over for dinner, with me having to do not a scrap of work as parents in law took care of it all and we feasted on prawns and bugs.
I won't even go into the presents but suffice to say the girls did very good both in what they received and how they received.
Unfortunately everything from then on has been rather hideous for me as I have been quite sick with what started with a flu and is now a nasty throat infection, I am hoping it will go away with antibiotics because the other alternative is glandular fever and the thought of going through that is not charming.
Well if I don't write again before the new year I just want to say happy new year to all and that I pray that you will all have a lovely time saying goodbye to 2008 and welcome 2009.

Seasons Greetings

We wish You
A Merry Christmas
And a Happy
New Year
(There was meant to be photos in this section of the lovely kiddywinks but we are still suffering with computer issues)

Greetings family and Friends,
we are off on our holiday in just a few short hours so I just wanted to stop by and wish you all a lovely Christmas.
We are going to the Beautiful Gold Coast- Kirra Beach and Princess is so excited because we will be going to the beach and to the pool everyday, the weather forecast is for beautiful sunny weather. So funny to think about everyone in different countries having a cold Christmas but I am sure you will enjoy your lovely hot roast at Christmas while we enjoy our seafood (yum).
Stay Safe everyone and I shall update (Lord Willing) before the New Year.
Also if you get a chance their is an awesome post on mycharmingkids.net about marriage, we have just got the book to read called Sacred Marriage and we have heard from numerous sources about how wonderful it is.

Just to make sure I don't get too slack

Here is a post that I am encouraging myself to write even though I don't have too much to say. So of course out come some photos.
Have I told you that Sweetness is now trying to feed herself.

And me, "want some?"

Two of the cutest bottoms hard at work.

Last week or maybe it was two weeks ago we had a lovely smile looking down on us, my photos were terrible but you can sort of see it here.

In other news I am a little disheartened as ever since we have moved in to our lovely house I have had nothing but praise for everything, well here is my first whinge. The people in the house behind have recently moved out and the new people have moved in. It is now school holidays here and so I have discovered that new neighbours has a teenage boy. And he has lots of friends and so they were all swimming in their pool. This is not my problem, I really don't have much of a problem with noise (how can I when I have two very loud noisy girls at home). No the problem is that these boys were swearing like truckers. I have no idea if mum or dad were home, I am hoping not which would further explain the brazen language but grumble grumble, I do not want swearing around my children.
Princess often hears things from various places, eg TV, and she repeats much of what she hears, how is she meant to know what is permissible at three years of age? We have now changed many of our viewing habits as shows that we once thought nothing of we now realise are completely inappropriate, especially for a three year old.
I understand that we can not shut our children in a little isolated fairyland but to have this foul language coming from our backyard really annoys me.

Santa's coming

Just a few photos which were cute and I could add cute captions to.
Such as Ho, Ho, Ho.

You can't be Santa, I'm Santa!

If you're going to go diving in the bath, maybe its better to leave the bubbles out.
