Well we are back from our holiday and it was so very lovely to be able to spend time with the family. We pretty much spent all our days between the pool and the beach. Princess was not keen for the sea, mostly the waves, it was day four before I could really get her anywhere near the water unless she was in one of our arms. When she finally realised that the waves are not so bad and even a little fun I felt that I didn't want to take her away in case she forgot all about how fun it was and hence I have a burnt back. These things we do for our children.
Sweetness on the other hand absolutely loved the water sea or pool, any time we would decide on her behalf that she had had enough she would soon show us she hadn't by walking straight back into the ocean or back into the pool.
With only ourselves to blame going to the beach or pool became such productions as we had buckets and spades, floating rings, vests, kick boards, towels, sunscreen, sun glasses, and the list goes on. Life is just not simple anymore. While there we had a visit from the newly weds and they were able to walk down to the pool with us with a towel- imagine that- just a towel, ah those were the days.
Christmas was a great time for us and not to hectic which was what we prayed for. We spent the morning and lunch with my family at the beach and then came home. We then had Gorgeous Husband's family over for dinner, with me having to do not a scrap of work as parents in law took care of it all and we feasted on prawns and bugs.
I won't even go into the presents but suffice to say the girls did very good both in what they received and how they received.
Unfortunately everything from then on has been rather hideous for me as I have been quite sick with what started with a flu and is now a nasty throat infection, I am hoping it will go away with antibiotics because the other alternative is glandular fever and the thought of going through that is not charming.
Well if I don't write again before the new year I just want to say happy new year to all and that I pray that you will all have a lovely time saying goodbye to 2008 and welcome 2009.
