More firsts for the week

Our other first for the week is Sweetness got to start her ballet lessons on Tuesday.

She was so excited.

Her teacher told me that she did a great job. I thought she might of been nervous to go by herself but she just took her teacher's hand and off she went. (sniff)
Princess also has moved up a class and was very excited to get a new uniform too.
I think the ballet school will love us and our three little ballerinas:)

Pumpkin scones

In honour of Australia Day I decided to make some pumpkin scones (that and my pumpkin wasn't looking crash hot).

For those who don't know Pumpkin Scones are simply a variation on the British scone only of course made with pumpkin which is a vegetable readily available here.

My reciepe was simply

3 1/2 cups self raising flour
1/4 cup honey (capilano)
1 cup cooked pumpkin mashed
50 grams butter
1/2 cup milk

1. Cook chopped pumpkin till tender
2. Cream butter and honey together
3. Add pumpkin
4. Mix in milk
5. Add flour cup at a time.
6. Flour bench top
7. Knead mixture
8. Flatten to about 1cm
9. Cut out with circle cutter (our was a very small one)

10. Place next to each other on grease paper on tray. They need to be place right next to each other so they rise up rather than flatten out.
11. Bake in preheated 200 degree oven for 15 minutes.
12. Serve hot with lots of butter.

My girls who are fussy eaters ate 3 each and have been bugging me for more.
Looks like I have a yummy school lunch box item.

Big Day for us

I can not begin to tell you what a bad night sleep I had last night. It took ages to get to sleep and then every time I would wake up or be woken up and I couldn't stop thinking that this baby of mine

was going to be doing this today. (sob)

She had such a lovely day but I couldn't stop thinking that this

wasn't all that long ago (sniff sniff).

Last one

For the year 2010.

So crazy can you really believe it is 2011 in a few short hours. I seriously can not. Seriously. Soooo much has happened this year its flown past like the concord that used to scream over our house in Windsor which doesn't seem all that long ago and yet in actually was more than 5 years ago.

So our biggest happening has been our lovely girl's arrival. She is a super baby and continues to astonish us everyday about how lovely and wriggly she is.

Another new change is GH and his job(s). He has finished up, worked from home, worked far away and now in the new year is starting a new and Lord willing long term (10 years please) new job. We're super excited about it because its for a company that we think is sweet:)

Not forgetting our very excellent adventure to NZ, where past memories were laid to rest because of the fun time we had with family and the snow.

So I am really looking forward to 2011, and the new beginning it brings like new jobs, and a new adventure for Princess (starting school) and maybe a new home and any new 'adventures' God has on store for us.

Have a Happy New Year!

Santa

We managed to get a Santa picture with all the girls, not too bad considering that the older two just wanted to keep turning around and talk to Santa while Cutie just wanted to get away from him. It was funny, I put her on his lap and she saw his beard first and went to pull it and then realised before she did that there was a strange man attached to it. Well then there was not fear in the eyes but a strong sense of anger. It was like she was saying' who are you and just what do you  think you are doing holding me. Let...Me...GO!'.
She wasn't crying but she would push her tummy out as far as she could and make it as difficult for Santa as possible. The photographers had a bubble machine which took her attention away pretty well and although she's not smiling it's not too bad. Sweetness also had to hold her hand to stop Cutie from ripping out her hair clip along with a handful of hair. Funny days:) The joys of being a SAHM

Prepare yourself for utter cuteness in a Princess way

What a little cutie right?
Sorry I can't help but share my lovely little dancer. She has worked quite hard to learn her dance and mum has taken her to lots of rehearsals etc.

Oh my, how beautiful is she. She did a really great job on stage and I am amazed at how brave all the little girls were.
